Hexagon Rugby was an idea born out of providing some semi competitive options in one location by a group of guys who were playing Golden Oldies at Eastwood , and struggling to make it to Sunday games all the time. This has given the guys the opportunity to show what they can do, still play competitive with a group of like minded people who all meet at dedicated venues once a month so they can get game time and help each of the clubs who provide players, host events and make some money, and still have a presence for over 35s guys to play some rugby
Nick Susko is an elite High Performance coach in the world of football. Nick started his coaching journey at Manly United before heading to Sydney FC Academy at Macquarie Park where he worked in elite high performance looking at all aspects of player development, building better systems and increasing the technical knowledge of players and the overall management of elite high-performance programs. Isaiah Iceman Lazaro Australian and Philippines BJJ fighter and was ranked number 3 in the world in his weight division in 2022, tells Duck Man all about the world of BJJ. He trains out of Gracie Barra Blacktown City and represents the area and his Phillipino heritage with grace and style. The Iceman is very quick and talks about his specialist moves, preferred finishers and some of his aims for the future, which may include doing some action movies
Riverstone Dolphins Swim Club are the little club from the Hawkesbury who punch above their weight when they get to State Titles and nationals. They compete in a region that is relatively landlocked with a shortage of public pools close by, but still represent the area with pride. The club focus a lot on doing things right with technique and training, and this helps them compete against the biggest and the best.
Natalie Coyte has been in the local netball scene in the hawkesbury for years. She saw an opportunity to bring a new club in to help provide some more competition just prior to Covid and launched the Western Wildcats Netball 4 seasons ago. Nick Mead is a Hawkesbury Valley Rugby Club player who has cerebral palsy. Nick is a smart guy who doesn't see this as a disability. He sees this as an opportunity to work on his strengths and point out that just because you have Cerebral Palsy doesn't mean that you can't do everyday things. Nick breaks down a lot of barriers and misinformation about CP and people labelled as having a "disability".
Marc De Paoli is a well established young commentator and the Voice of BDSFA over the last few seasons. Marc is a rising star in the world of journalism and football commentary and is a passionate Arsenal and Sydney FC fan to boot.
Dan Sheppard is the Hills United TD and Coaches coach. Dan looks after the coaching development within the Hills District Football Association and is an experienced passionate professional football coach from the UK who is making a difference in Australian Football.
Peter Fab Fenton is an extraordinary man. He has worked in the Australian film industry throughout his whole working career working on movies such as Gallipoli, he is a noted sports historian particularly on sports people such as Australian Heavyweight boxing champion Les Darcy, and also the only person who I personally know that watched Don Bradman play test cricket for Australia.
Fab was also a noted rugby man and helped the Parramatta Two Blues go from a team of battlers to Shute Shield champions in 1977 and was a very good rugby union coach in Sydney.
Eric Tweedale, at the time of recording was the Oldest living Wallaby and international rugby player in the world. Eric had an amazing career arriving in Australia in the 1920s, playing first grade rugby in the Shute Shield in his mid-teens in the 1930s, before serving his country in World War 2, then resuming his rugby career
Adam Hartas the president of Ropes Crossing Strikers lives and breathes Football and everything Ropes Crossing Strikers He lives in the area, he was a founding member of the club back in 2015, played Premier League at the club and coached the Prems as well. Success follows Adam and he has brought that mentality to Ropes Crossing Strikers
